Description
We have partnered with FalconRad FPV to provide the manufacturing and shipping of his design. This is not an Open source frame and we can not provide files or changes to this frame. With the purchase of this frame, we provide all CF and Hardware for the frame. The 3d printed parts are not included and will have to be sourced.
Most production times are about 7-10 business days, but can be affected by work load at the time of the order

Designer Notes
RAD Li-ion V2:
-Flight times of about 30 minutes are possible with dual 6s 5000mAh li-ion batteries.
-Variety of 3d prints available on thingiverse
-5.5mm x 6.5mm side bracing
-Top and bottom plates: 2mm
-Mid plate: 2.5mm
-Arms are 7mm thick and the width has increased by 1mm.
-Top plate has been widened for more secure battery mounting.
-Top and bottom plates are shorter in front and longer in back making it easier to get the CG perfect with battery positioning.
-Added space in the rear makes a perfect fit for both DJI 04 pro air unit and most analog VTX's.
-The way the arms come together has been revised with more carbon making contact between them.
-Addition of a keystone (center block) providing a buffer between arm vibration and stack mounting.
-Main stack now mounts through pre-installed press nuts with a total of 10.5mm of carbon below.
-Designed to minimize the size and weight for a long range drone build.
-3d prints DO NOT come with the frame but the STL files are easily accessible on Thingiverse site, search "RAD Li-ion v2".
With the batteries, GoPro and motors all as close to center as possible this 7" long range frame manages some surprisingly good maneuverability. For the best power and agility the RAD Li-ion V2 fits a GoPro along with a lipo battery up to 150mm in length on the top plate. For dual 6s li-ion batteries the RAD LI-ion V2 uses two mounting points, one on the top plate an the other underneath. Having the second li-ion battery underneath greatly reduces drag when compared to much larger 7.5" builds that put a full 6s2p battery on the top plate. This top and bottom mounting of li-ion packs is an especially important way of distributing weight when carring two heavy 6s 21700 battery packs. This along with its outstanding vibration performance makes the RAD li-ion an ideal platform for a 7 inch long range FPV build.
The frame features two braces, perfectly balanced in stiffness vs the arms. This greatly reduces the amount of vibration from the roll and yaw axis and keeps them well under control on the pitch axis. The RAD Li-ion has an outstanding minimum resonance frequency for a 7 inch build especially when taking into account that it's carrying multiple long range antennas and two 6s batteries along with a full size GoPro.
To assist even further with stiffening the frame I've used an inventive method for fastening some of the 3D printed mounts. No more squeezing and crushing TPU underneath fasteners that were intended to have a rigid connection to the top or bottom plate. These 3D prints are held firmly in place with short standoffs and washers allowing all structural fasteners to have rigid connections to the upper and lower plates.
