The success of the JeNo 5.1" pushed us to develop a little brother, in 3 and 3.5" . This frame will therefore be as comfortable in Freestyle as in cinematic shooting . A 7" version of the JeNo also exists .
On a 5" or more, you may be tempted to keep an Action Cam, whereas on a compact and light machine, the DJI O3 reveals all its potential .
Designing a frame of this size ended up being trickier than expected:
Weight is crucial
Solidity and rigidity remain key points
The electronics are more exotic : 20x20 stack with separate FC and ESCs, straight or 45° AiO, fixing the stack in M2 or M3…
The low inertia of this format makes the O3 camera gyro very sensitive , the vibration tolerance is much lower than in 5"
A clear FOV : no spacer, frame, or propellers visible in the FPV return
After several iterations, we arrived at a first version of JeNo that ticks all these boxes! This is the 3" Classic version, unibody with a 4 mm bottom plate .
We weren't initially keen on the unibody, but this approach ultimately proved to be an excellent compromise . With a thickness of 4mm at the bottom plate, we obtain exceptional solidity and flight behavior worthy of a 5". Assembly remains easy and the absence of separate arms allows you to slide a 20x20 stack taking advantage of the 20 mm height of the bus.
Other versions are available:
3.5" (attention: props visible in the FPV stream)
3" Light
Separated arms
4": this is a variation produced by Kennytak and the necessary files are available on his page . The props remain slightly visible in the FPV stream.
The JeNo 3 follows in the footsteps of its big brother: the front cage inclined at 25° allows for a clear FOV . Notches are provided to slide in any type of ND filter and the propellers are not visible in FPV feedback or HD recording.
