We have partnered with FalconRad FPV to provide the manufacturing and shipping of his design. This is not an Open source frame and we can not provide files or changes to this frame. With the purchase of this frame, we provide all CF and Hardware for the frame. The 3d printed parts are not included and will have to be sourced. Normal cutting time is about 3 - 5 days from the time of order but can be affected when there is a high cutting volume in the shop.
For any 3d printing needed for the frame, please check out https://www.brain3d.co/ and they will help with anything you need.
Thingiverse link to STL files for all of the 3d printed parts.

Designer Notes
The RAD li-ion frame minimizes the frame size required to carry high milliamp hour long range batteries. The intent of the design is to carry two separate 6s1p li-ion batteries. One on top and the other underneath.
The frame features two braces, perfectly balanced in stiffness vs the arms. This greatly reduces the amount of vibration from the roll and yaw axis and keeps them well under control on the pitch axis. The RAD Li-ion has an outstanding minimum resonance frequency for a 7 inch build (my test version is at 215hz) especially when taking into account that it's carrying multiple long range antennas and two 6s batteries along with a full size GoPro.
An STL file is available to make a 3D printed vertical mount for a Caddex vista unit for those looking to make this into a DJI build. A full size air unit will not fit.
3d prints DO NOT come with the frame but the STL files are easily accessible on Thingiverse. There is a selection of over a dozen STL files for 3D prints already available.
To assist even further with stiffening the frame a new fastening system has been devised for the 3D printed mounts. No more squeezing and crushing TPU underneath fasteners that were intended to have a rigid connection to the top or bottom plate. These 3D prints are held firmly in place while also allowing all of the structural fasteners to have a rigid connection to the upper and lower plates.
With the batteries, GoPro and motors all as close to center as possible this 7" long range frame manages some surprisingly good maneuverability, even when carrying two 6s li-ion batteries (up to 8400mah total with 21700 cells). It also easily fits a 2600mah lipo battery on the top plate along with a GoPro. Without a GoPro it will fit a 4000mah+ lipo on the top plate.
The slimmer, shorter design of this frame along with the battery positioning helps to reduce drag making it easier and more efficient to carry a large payload of two 6s li-ion batteries. This along with its outstanding vibration performance makes the RAD li-ion an ideal platform for your next 7 inch long range FPV build.
Comes with 30mm standoffs for 2806.5 motors (2808 and 2810 size motors will need 35mm standoffs)
- Flight times of 26+ minutes (when using recommended parts)
- Improved fastening system for 3D printed mounts
- 2mm top plate and bottom plate
- 2.5mm main plate
- Very stiff 8mm thick arms
- 6mm x 6.4mm side bracing
- Over a dozen 3D prints already available and more to come
A dual 6s battery setup requires:
-an XT60 parallel adapter (use zip ties or elastics to keep wires clear of props)
OR
-soldering two XT60 pigtails to the ESC (an ESC with double sided power tabs is recommended, some may find this difficult)
Note: We are not the designer and are not responsible if the frame is not as you hoped. We only cut the files provided and it's your responsibility you do your research about the frame before purchasing. Frames are all custom cut and are started once an order is placed. If you have any questions or concerns, please message us at
[email protected], and someone will get back to yo as soon as possible. It is also suggested to check the Facebook groups or contact the designer if you have any other questions.
